The National Automobile Museum has a new car on display from the ‘Ghostbusters’ movie franchise.
The ECTO-1 was featured in the 2021 installment of the franchise, 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ and is now on display in Reno along with props from the films.
The museum's president says Reno's museum is one of the top five in the country so movie studios are happy to lend their cars from films.
"If you look into this one you'll see every single thing that you see in the movie - from the seat that pulls out in the side of the car, to all the electronics the antennas, the backpacks. A lot of them are just shells, this is the real one with the inside and the outside," says Phil MacDougall.
MacDougall says the auto museum will host the 'Ghostbusters' car for as long as Sony Pictures lets them.
'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' stars Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon, along with some actors from the other movies.
He says they plan to have cars from the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise in about two months.
