Reno Fire crews responded to a structure fire at an abandoned commercial building on E. Commercial Row near Sutro Street at around 1:54 p.m. on Wednesday.
When fire crews arrived, they found a small fire that they were able to quickly knock down.
Firefighters conducted a sweep of the building and found no one inside. Officials said this was not the first incident at the location, noting a similar fire that occurred at the location on February 9.Â
The exact cause of the fire is under investigation, but Reno Fire said it appeared to possibly be a warming fire that was left unattended.
Reno Fire says they have seen an uptick in smaller fires as colder weather arrives.Â
Fire crews are currently mopping up, and investigators remained on scene Wednesday afternoon.
