Firefighters battled a fire that broke out in the attic of a Sparks home on Wednesday night.
The Reno Fire Department was the first fire agency to respond, as the Sparks Fire Department was responding to another fire that sparked earlier in the day.
The RFD led firefighting efforts, but was joined by the Sparks Fire Department and Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue on the scene, according to a spokesperson from the Sparks Fire Department.
It happened on "C" Street in Sparks between Rock Boulevard and 16th Street.
There were no people or pets inside the home at the time of the fire, which was contained to the attic.
Power was turned off to the home due to the blaze.
The SFD says there is no threat to surrounding houses at this time.
C street is closed between Rock Boulevard and 16th Street. Use alternate routes and avoid the area if possible.
