Firefighters were called to a multi-story house fire on Lousetown Rd in the Virginia City Highlands just before 4 p.m Sunday.
Two people were evaluated for burn injuries and smoke inhalation.
One firefighter sustained a minor injury and is also being evaluated.
The cause is still under investigation.
Responding agencies included Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, Central Lyon Fire Protection District, City of Reno Fire Department, and Carson City Fire Department.
Crews say they'll be on scene for several hours conducting overhaul operations to ensure the area is safe.
