Mark your calendars for June 20, when the Historic Fourth Ward School Museum opens its doors for a day of family activities tied to a major milestone in the museum’s history.
The museum’s sixth annual Educational Kids Fair will celebrate the organization’s 150th anniversary with interactive activities, entertainment, and community resources for children and families. Doors open at 11 a.m. at the museum in Virginia City.
The event takes place inside the 1876 Fourth Ward School Museum. It connects children and families with local history through hands-on educational experiences, while highlighting community groups, sponsors, and the museum’s programs for young audiences.
Organizers said the event is part of the museum’s ongoing efforts to engage the community and preserve the history of Virginia City. The museum said the fair also reflects its continued commitment to education and community involvement as it marks 150 years as a place of learning and discovery.
The Historic Fourth Ward School Museum & Archives preserves artifacts, stories, and history tied to Virginia City through exhibits, educational programs, and community events.
