Two people were arrested after fleeing from Washoe County Sheriff's deputies in Incline Village in two different cars on Wednesday evening.

WCSO says that around 11:32 p.m. on March 19, a deputy observed a black Ford F-150 and a white Jeep Cherokee drive through a stop sign in Incline Village.

Both cars exceeded the posted speed limit by a significant amount.

In an attempt to do a traffic stop, the deputy turned on the red and blue overhead lights of the patrol car.

The black Ford F-150 and white Jeep Cherokee did not stop for the deputy. Both cars entered the Incline Valley Bowling Alley parking area to avoid the deputy as the pursuit continued there.

To stop the cars from fleeing, the deputy blocked the exit.

The black Ford F-150 hit the patrol car and then fled, while the white Jeep Cherokee dodged by driving around it.

A second deputy arrived in the area and continued the pursuit of the two cars.

When the white Jeep Cherokee struck a tree close to the intersection of Northwood Boulevard and Tahoe Boulevard, the pursuit came to an end.

As the black Ford F-150 fled toward the California border, nearby agencies were given a description of the truck.

The driver of the Ford F-150 was eventually caught and taken into custody on local charges following a crash that occurred during a pursuit with Truckee Police Department officers; more information will be provided after their agency's investigation.

They say no police or deputies were injured in this incident.

The white Jeep Cherokee's driver was identified as Luca Giannini.

Following medical clearance, Giannini was charged and booked for the following charges: DUI 1st (Drugs + Alcohol) and Stop Required Upon Signal of Peace Officer While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Controlled Substance.
