The Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada's (ITCN) WIC program is calling on Nevadans for support as it sees an increasing number of applicants.

The program started again in October but now faces a suspension of operations due to funding.

According to ITCN, the program couldn't continue after Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen found unspent recovery funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service.

The program's funds have since depleted, after lasting through October.

Now the program is continuing to face financial issues, and hopes Nevadans can help support the WIC program.
