The Ironwood Fire burning north of Spanish Springs is now fully contained and controlled, according to Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue, in an online X post.
The fire burned approximately 44 acres and did not result in any injuries or structure losses. All evacuation orders have been lifted.
In an update posted on X, TMFR confirmed the fire reached 100 percent containment and expressed appreciation for the support of Palomino Valley residents during the response.
Federal crews assisted in the firefighting effort alongside the Reno and Sparks Fire Departments.
