A 41-year-old man faces up to four consecutive life terms after being convicted of child sex-related charges.
The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says a jury has convicted Javier Castellanos-Bacilio of three counts of Lewdness with a Child Under the Age of 14, and one count of Sexual Assault Against a Child Under 14 Years.
Prosecutors say the 13-year-old victim told a school counselor in September 2023 that Castellanos-Bacilio sexually abused her once during her previous school year, and three times over a weekend.
Sentencing is set for December 2, 2025. Castellanos-Bacilio faces up to four consecutive life sentences with a maximum parole eligibility after 65 years.
