The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is warning of people getting scam calls from someone pretending to be a Lyon County deputy.
The scammer says they are calling to collect money to clear a warrant, according to a post on Facebook from the LCSO.
The caller is currently using the name Deputy Porter, and the caller ID reads Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office wants people to know that nobody in their employ would ever call and ask for money or personal information over the phone.
People are advised not to respond if they are contacted by scammers.
