Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar is reporting an increase 22,241 active registered voters for September 2026 when compared to August.
The total number of active registered voters in Nevada is 2,084,377, an increase of (1.08%).
Nonpartisans continue to make up the majority of registered voters in the state.
Of the 2,084,377 active registered voters in Nevada:
- 809,764 are Nonpartisan (38.85%)
- 575,465 are Democrats (27.61%)
- 571,078 are Republicans (27.40%)
- 83,392 are members of the Independent American Party (4.00%)
- 13,691 are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (0.66%)
- 30,987 are members of other minor political parties (1.49%)
Inactive Registered Voters
The Secretary of State’s Office also provides monthly reports on the number of inactive voters in Nevada. An inactive registered voter is a voter who is registered and legally eligible to vote, but has been flagged through Nevada’s list maintenance processes, conducted by the counties. Inactive registered voters do not receive mail-in ballots for any election, but they remain on the voter rolls for two federal general election cycles, per the National Voter Registration Act, and are still eligible to vote.
Of the 416,618 inactive registered voters in Nevada:
- 192,012 are Nonpartisan (46.09%)
- 102,598 are Democrats (24.63%)
- 89,219 are Republicans (21.42%)
- 19,252 are members of the Independent American Party (4.62%)
- 4,318 are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (1.04%)
- 9,219 are members of other minor political parties (2.21%)
