A man faces several charges including sex trafficking after being arrested in Reno.Â
Reno Police say last month they developed enough information to arrest 37-year-old Antonio 'Fly' Reese in connection with a domestic battery investigation. Police say Reese is known to the Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Unit and has been on active probation with the Division of Parole and Probation since 2022 for pandering.Â
In early October, HEAT detectives tried to arrest Reese, but he drove away from officers. Then, four days later, HEAT Detectives, with the help from the Regional Narcotics Unit and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), they located and arrested Reese.
Police say as part of an ongoing HEAT Unit investigation, detectives continued to develop information on Reese’s activities dating back more than a year, while he was under supervised probation. It was during that investigation that they got enough information to arrest Reese on felony sex trafficking-related charges.Â
HEAT detectives suspect Reese had been actively recruiting additional females to engage in the commercial sex trade.
Reese, who was still in custody on the Domestic Battery and Eluding charges, was additionally booked on charges of Sex Trafficking and Living off the Earnings of Prostitution.
Prostitution is illegal in Washoe County. Anyone with information about suspected human trafficking is encouraged to contact the Reno Police Department’s non-emergency line at (775) 334-2677.
