NV Energy is reporting nearly 11,000 people in Douglas County are without power.
As of 5:30 p.m. NV Energy's outage list showed 10,832 customers without power in Douglas County.
There are nine outages in total being reported in the county.
The cause of the outages is under investigation.
Power is estimated to be back on for some customers before 6 p.m. according to the NV Energy outage map. For many, there is no estimated time for power to be restored.
