Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating two separate fatal crashes in the Fallon area Saturday.
The first crash happened just after 4:30 p.m. on U.S. 50 at Soda Lake Road and involved a motorcycle and a sedan. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died. The sedan driver was not injured. Investigators say impairment is not suspected.
The second crash happened just before 7:30 p.m. on State Route 117 near McLean Road and involved a sedan and a work truck. Three people in the sedan were taken to a local hospital. Two were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while a third person later died. The work truck driver was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say impairment is suspected to be a contributing factor in the second crash.
