Heavy police activity was reported Thursday afternoon near Pyramid Highway and Kiley Parkway as Nevada troopers searched for a suspect involved in a crash.
The Washoe County School District placed Bohach Elementary School and Sky Ranch Middle School on a secured campus during the search.
Nevada State Police say they are looking for a Hispanic man wearing black baggy pants and a white T-shirt. He is described as having long black hair, possibly worn in a ponytail.
Troopers say there is no danger to the public.
