The Wolf Pack returns to Mackay Stadium this Saturday, and fans have their first chance of the season to pack the stands and get loud as Nevada takes on Sacramento State in the 2025 home opener.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, as Nevada continues its non-conference schedule. This marks the team’s first appearance at home this season.
Saturday’s game marks the first meeting between Nevada and Sacramento State in 21 years, and just the second since 1990.
Nevada leads the all-time series 17-9. The programs met nearly every year between 1954 and 1978, except for 1971. Since Nevada moved to Division I in 1992, the teams have faced off only once, a 59-7 win for the Wolf Pack on Sept. 11, 2004.
The game gives Nevada an early-season opportunity to build momentum at home.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for pre-game activities and tailgating. Gates at Mackay Stadium will open ahead of kickoff.
Tickets and game day information are available through Nevada Athletics.
