On Wednesday, Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto responded to President Trump's coffee tariffs with the introduction of a bipartisan bill.

Masto took to the Senate floor to ask for unanimous consent to pass her bipartisan No Coffee Tax Act, but a Republican Senator objected.

She argued that retail coffee prices in the U.S. increased by nearly 21 percent in August compared to the same month last year.

Brazil, the top source for U.S. coffee imports, has faced a 50 percent tariff under the Trump Administration.

Masto is looking to bring coffee prices down for Nevadans. She says it will make American lives and mornings "a little easier."
