NHP has released some more details about a crash that killed a juvenile on U.S. 50 in Stagecoach late last month. 

The crash happened near Scenic Avenue, just before 1:15 p.m. on August 30th. 

NHP says the juvenile was riding a KTM Motorcycle north on U.S. 50 near Scenic when he failed to yield to an oncoming Plymouth Voyager. And they say that's when the minivan hit the left side of the KTM - and the juvenile was thrown to the ground where he died.

NHP says the two women inside the car remained on scene and are cooperating with the investigation. 

AUGUST 31, 2025: 

Nevada Highway Patrol have reported a fatal crash that happened this afternoon in Stagecoach.

Traffic is currently being detoured on U.S. Highway 50 at Scenic Avenue in Stagecoach.

According to NHP, a dirt bike rider was attempting to turn onto U.S. 50 from Scenic Avenue. The biker failed to yield to a van, and a crash occurred.

The rider of the dirt bike, a minor, was pronounced dead on scene by medical personnel.

The detour is expected to be in effect for the next two hours while officials continue their investigation.
