Northern Nevada Public Health has provided an update to respiratory illness numbers in the region.

From February 22 through the 28, flu activity decreased, while RSV cases remained elevated, and COVID-19 activity stayed low, according to a post from NNPH on X.

During that time, there were 12 hospitalizations for the flu. There have been 469 hospitalizations this flu season, and 21 people have died from the illness, with influenza A (H3) and B (Unknown) being the most prevalent forms of type and subtype.

There were three hospitalizations for COVID-19 from the 22 to 28. There have been 93 this season in the area, and three deaths.

There were 167 reported cases of RSV. The weekly rate is 32 per 100,000, and there have been 1,182 cases reported this season.
