PBS Reno is airing a local documentary titled "Piconland: The Quest for the Perfect Picon Punch." This documentary takes you on a journey through Piconland and the story of the official Nevada state drink.
In an online post, Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) says the documentary explores local craftsmanship, legislative milestones, and never-before-seen footage, including the production at Ferino Distillery in Reno.
TMCC's English Professor Mark Maynard completed the final cut and is now ready to air. The film will be aired next on December 14 at 5:30 p.m. on PBS Reno.
According to TMCC, Maynard's work gives students real-world filmmaking experience, including creative writing, media production, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
