The Washoe County coroner has identified the victim who died in a homicide late last month.Â
The medical examiner says 80-year-old Margarita Griggs died on scene in her home on Mustengo Drive on October 29th.Â
The cause of death is pending further investigation. Â

A release from the Reno Police Department has revealed that the department is investigating a reported death as a homicide.
On October 29, officers responded to a home on Mustengo Drive on the report of an elderly woman who was having a medical emergency.
After an autopsy was performed by the Washoe County Coroner's office, it was determined that the the cause of death was result of a homicide. Â
Reno Police say their Robbery Homicide Unit took over the crime scene and began an investigation.
Today, October 31, Reno Police Department detectives arrested William Griggs on the charge of open Murder.Â
Police say the identification of the victim will be released after proper notifications have been made.
