The Reno Police Department recently finished up a series of school zone safety operations that took place during the month of April.
The operations took place within active school zones in Reno between April 1 and April 30.
The school zones selected for the operations were chosen based on input from neighbors related to reports of unsafe driving in the selected areas.
For the operations, officers focused their efforts on drivers and pedestrians that were violating pedestrian safety laws.
Officials report that during the operations, 119 tickets were issued, 40 warnings were given, and two people were arrested.
