The Reno Sparks Indian Colony is hosting its 22nd Annual New Year’s Eve Sobriety Powwow on Wednesday.
It is happening at the Reno Sparks Indian Colony Gymnasium on Reservation Road in Reno from 4 p.m. on the 31st to 12:30 a.m. on the 1st, according to a release from the RSIC.
The event is free and intended for all ages.
Everyone in attendance will welcome 2026 with drums, songs, and rounding dancing, while passing cultural practices from one generation to the next.
Alongside the powwow, there will be Indigenous artists selling handmade beadwork, native-style clothing such as ribbon skirts, and traditional foods.
There will be free raffle door prizes, a sobriety chip giveaway, cake walks, and more.
