U.S Nevada Senators

Both U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen and Cortez Masto released a statement after their vote in support of a deal to reopen the government.

This comes after a rare Sunday gathering in the Senate, where a group of moderate democrats agreed to proceed without a guaranteed extension of health care subsidies. Many democrats, including U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen and Cortez Masto, have been fighting against rising health care costs during the shutdown.

U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen says President Trump and Republicans are weaponizing their power to bring suffering to working people.

The U.S Senator also says she will keep fighting to ensure Republicans extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits after her vote in the U.S. Senate.

After Senator Jacky Rosen put out a statement, Senator Cortez Masto also put one out.

In her statement, she says she knows the pain people are feeling during the government shutdown.

U.S. Senator Cortez Masto also says when the government opens, she will focus her efforts of passing a full, bipartisan budget for 2026, which would restore funding that President Trump cut.
