Today, Sigal Chattah took the oath of office as the District of Nevada's interim United States Attorney.
Ms. Chattah oversees all federal criminal prosecutions and civil cases involving federal interests in the District of Nevada in her capacity as Interim US Attorney.
According to the Department of Justice, her offices are in Las Vegas and Reno, and she oversees a staff of more than 100 prosecutors and support staff.
Before joining the US Department of Justice, Ms. Chattah established her own Las Vegas law firm, Chattah Law Group.
From 2005 to 2009, she taught political science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
A graduate of Pennsylvania's Widener University School of Law, Ms. Chattah received her J.D. and her B.S. in political science from the University of Las Vegas.
