A Safeway store in Sparks is temporarily closed after fire crews responded to a HAZMAT incident early Thursday morning.

Fire crews tell us they responded to the store on Vista Blvd. after workers, inside the store, broke a line while cleaning refrigerators.

As a precaution, the workers evacuated and the store shut down.

Northern Nevada Public Health is now investigating.

Authorities say there's no danger to the public in the surrounding area and the incident is contained to the store.

No one injuries were reported.Â
