The Sparks Fire Department responded to a townhome on fire near Buffalo Way and Greyhaven Lane around 12:45 a.m. Saturday.
After putting out the fire and entering the home, firefighters found an elderly man who had died.
SFD says they believe the fire started in the living room and spread to the outside of the unit.
The investigation is ongoing.
