33-year old Timothy Rubenstein of Sparks was arrested today after an investigation led to probable cause for assault with a deadly weapon - domestic battery.

At around 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, officers met with the victim of a domestic battery where a gun was involved.

The incident happened on Sullivan Lane, while two children were present. The children were unharmed.

Sparks Police officers went to the house on Sullivan in an attempt to locate Rubenstein, when he left and tried to flee.

Rubenstein was caught and arrested, where it was found he had a loaded gun in his waistband.

Officers have booked Rubenstein at the Washoe County Detention Center, and he has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon - domestic battery, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, two counts of child endangerment, and obstruction.
