Sparks Police have arrested a man on charges including gross lewdness and stalking after incidents involving two women.
On Sunday morning, around 934 a.m., police responded to the Sparks Marina for a lewdness call.
The victim said a man driving a white vehicle approached her while she was jogging and called her over, saying he needed to ask her for directions, according to a release from the SPD.
When the woman approached, she allegedly saw the man performing a lewd act before he drove away.
At around 10 a.m., the SPD got another call from a second victim who was jogging in the area of North McCarran Boulevard and Nichols Boulevard.
This second victim said she was being followed by a suspicious vehicle that matched the suspect vehicle officers were looking for from the first incident.
Officers were able to find that vehicle and pull it over.
The suspect was identified as 28-year-old Pedro Alcala-Saldana.
The second victim reported that she recognized the vehicle from the day before, January 31.
On that day, Alcala-Saldana allegedly called the second victim over to his car, saying he needed directions, and as she approached, she saw him performing a lewd act.
Alcala-Saldana was arrested and booked into the Washoe County Jail on charges including open or gross lewdness, which is a gross misdemeanor, and stalking, first offense, which is a misdemeanor.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Sparks Police Department is asking for any other victims of similar circumstances to contact them at (775) 353-2231.
