The SPCA of Northern Nevada (SPCA-NN) announced the start of its annual "Spring Into Saving Lives" fundraiser, featuring a generous $50,000 dollar-for-dollar matching grant.
From May 1st to May 31st, every donation made to the SPCA-NN will be matched, effectively doubling the impact of each contribution toward enhancing the lives of pets and their families in northern Nevada.
SPCA-NN's mission focuses on affordable, high-quality adoptions and services.
The funds raised during this campaign will support a variety of initiatives, including low or waived adoption fees, vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter surgeries, medical and dental care, behavior assessments, and post-adoption support.
Additionally, SPCA-NN offers a lifetime commitment to all adopted pets, ensuring they can return to the shelter if their adopters are no longer able to care for them.
The fundraiser will also support several important programs, including rural and community rescue transport, pet food assistance, affordable vaccine clinics, Todd’s Medical Assistance Fund, and northern Nevada’s most affordable spay-neuter services for both dogs and cats.
As an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, SPCA-NN is funded by the generosity of the community, with no financial support from the national ASPCA or any government agency.
SPCA-NN says that every gift, big or small, plays a vital role in the organization’s work.
The community is invited to participate in the Spring Into Saving Lives event, which begins on May 1st.
Donations can be made online at SPCA-NN’s website, and supporters are encouraged to sign up for the SPCA-NN newsletter and follow the organization on social media, where each week they'll share stories showing the direct impact of your donations and support, how they are making a difference in the lives of the pets and their owners.
