According to ESPN, the University of Nevada Reno plans to hire LSU's Executive Deputy Director of Athletics and Chief Operating Officer Stephanie Rempe as its new Athletic Director. 

Rempe would take the spot vacated by Doug Knuth when he parted ways with the University in April 2022. 

Bill Johnson has been serving as the acting Athletic Director since then. 

Rempe would become the only female Athletic Director in the Mountain West Conference.Â
