Upon arrival, officers discovered a 46-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds and quickly administered first aid.
Witnesses on scene identified the suspect and indicated the residence where the attack had occurred.
Before the victim was transported by REMSA to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition, she informed officers that another victim was inside the home.

Reno Police were able to locate and detain the alleged suspect, identified as 20-year-old Carson Gonzales.
Following the arrest, detectives from the Reno Police Department’s Robbery Homicide Unit took over the investigation.
Gonzales was arrested and faces multiple charges, including Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon, Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Obstructing and Resisting an Officer.
He has since been booked into the Washoe County Jail.
The identity of the deceased woman is being withheld pending family notification by the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
