Update (10/14, 11:52 a.m.):
The Sparks Police Department has released their official report on the September 24 crash that claimed the life of a 25-year old.
On September 24 around 8:00 p.m., the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Division responded to a crash at the intersection of South Virginia Street and Greenwood Drive.
The investigation found that a 2024 Kawasaki Ninja was driving southbound on South Virginia Street, and meanwhile a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu was driving northbound, in the center turn lane.
The driver of the Malibu attempted to make a left-hand turn in front of the Kawasaki.
The motorcycle was driving at a high rate of speed and hit the car, ejecting the rider - 25-year old Eliseo Magdaleno.
Magdaleno succumbed to the injuries and was declared dead on-scene.
The driver of the Malibu, Linda Pease, was arrested for suspicion of impaired driving and booked into the Washoe County Jail.

Update (9/26, 4:20 p.m.):
The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner's Office identified the man who was killed in the motorcycle crash on South Virginia Street on Tuesday.
25-year-old Eliseo L. Magdaleno from Sparks was pronounced dead at the scene.Â
The cause of his death was multiple blunt force injuries caused from the crash.
Officials say that Nevada State Police are handling the law enforcement investigation for the case.Â

ORIGINAL STORY (9/24):
On Tuesday night just before 8 p.m. Nevada State Police responded to a fatal crash on South Virginia Street between the Summit Mall and Tamarack Casino involving a car and a motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle died in the incident.
It is unknown if impairment or speed were factors in the crash.
Southbound lanes of South Virginia Street are closed in the area of the crash with no estimated time of reopening according to a press release from the Nevada State Police.
People are advised to use an alternate route.
