Victorian Avenue in Sparks will reopen to traffic at 6 a.m. Friday, September 5.
The city says this extra time allows vendors to safely break down their booths from the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook Off.
The City of Sparks thanked the public for their patience and continued support of the event.

The City of Sparks will have road closures in place through Thursday, September 4, for the Nugget’s Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook Off
Closures for set-up and take-down include:
- Victorian Avenue from Pyramid Highway to Victorian Plaza Circle on the west side;
- Victorian Plaza Circle from Avenue of the Oaks to Nugget Avenue on the east side
- Avenue of the Oaks in front of the Galaxy Theater, one block east and one block west
- 10th Street from south of Avenue of the Oaks, from the alleyway to Victorian Avenue
- Alleyway between 10th Street and the Sparks Heritage Museum, from 3 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, to 6 p.m. on Monday, September 1.
- Sparks Heritage Museum parking lot will be closed to the public, with access limited to museum volunteers and patrons.
Free self-parking for the public is available in the Nugget’s West Parking lot, the City Parking Garage next to the Galaxy movie theater, and the bottom level of the Deco Apartments. Handicap parking will also be available.
The city encourages visitors to use public transportation.
Free rides on RTC’s RAPID Lincoln Line and Route 11 will be offered from Tuesday, August 27, through Sunday, September 1, all day, each day of the event. RTC will also provide free ACCESS rides to and from the event.Â

Taxi and rideshare drop-off and pick-up will be located on 13th Street between Avenue of the Oaks and Victorian Plaza Circle.
