If you're looking for some fun Halloween events this weekend, Virginia City is still having events that are a part of 'Hauntober'.

People can expect a lot of energy in the city, as many places in town are doing their own unique events.

"Parties this weekend at the saloons, at the Fourth Ward School they have their All Hallows Eve Ball this Saturday night, haunted history tours, we have Bats in the Belfry ghost tour, they give you a guided tour through town and share with you the ghost tours of Virginia City," said Liza McIlwee, Tourism Assistant for the Virginia City Tourism Center.

Along with these events, there are multiple haunted houses in town that feature sounds, lights, and real people in costumes.

There is also a train that runs at night which takes people along a spooky path with plenty of lights and scary music.

Many people in Virginia City say they love this time of the year, and they go all out to give visitors a good experience.

"We put our heart and soul into this and it does take us a full month to prepare. But we actually start planning - we already have our theme for next year, so we start planning way out in advance. So it just means the world to us that people come out and see it and have a good time," said Dawn Dessaussois, Caretaker for the Mackay Mansion.
