A lot of people have some mixed feelings about this warm December weather.
Skiers and snowboarders are getting impatient and are begging for more snow. Meanwhile, others are enjoying getting to still do warm weather activities.
Maxwell Maddocks, a Reno resident, says, "It's nice that we get to spend multiple hours a day outside and it's still so sunny and you get hot. You don't think you'd be removing layers in the winter."
Moosa, a Sparks resident, says, "The skiing season started okay but the last couple of weeks it's been pretty warm, so it feels more like spring."
For businesses that depend on the winter weather, like Bobo's Mogul Mouse, haven't been seeing as many people as they'd like.
Pat Parraguirre, the general manager, says, "There's been a definite slow down, we should be busier three weeks before Christmas but unfortunately we can't change the weather."
Parraguirre says equipment tune ups and ski and snowboard sales are slow right now and they have to cut back on labor costs, but they're adding discounts and specials to attract customers while they wait for the snow.
Meanwhile, places like golf courses continue to stay busy, giving people the opportunity to soak up the sun while practicing their swing.
Josh Wallin, director of recreation for Grand Sierra Resort, talks about how busy it's been at the Grand Bay Driving Range, "We're open rain, snow, or shine and it's obviously a lot more enjoyable when the weather is really sunny and nice."
And despite the warm temperatures preventing perfect ski conditions, one skier says to take advantage of the slopes that are open.
Ben Barnes, a Reno resident, says, "Morning's is all tilled up, perfect for carving, they have some moguls that they're leaving out, right side of Kit Karson, Jetta, Ramsey still really good, but if you keep it tight, have some nice skinny skis with a sharp edge, its fun!"
Parraguirre says now may be actually the best time to prepare your winter gear.
"Get your skis waxed, get them ready to go, get your boards ready to go so you're not standing in line."
