The Washoe County Sheriff's Office has had a busy week, making 14 arrests of people who were allegedly driving under the influence.
These people were all arrested in this last week, between February 23 and March 2.
Officials say that none of the arrests were a result of a loss of life.
Sheriff Darin Balaam commented on the effort, saying, "We are dedicated to removing impaired drivers from our roads to preserve the life, peace, and safety of our community. Our deputies will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that those who choose to drive under the influence are held accountable."
The Sheriff's Office encourages all area drivers to plan ahead when drinking or consuming impairing substances, and use options like designating a sober driver or arranging a ride with a friend or rideshare service.
