CHP Truckee rollover crash

A driver who fell asleep at the wheel walked away with minor injuries after their car left the roadway while taking an exit too quickly, according to CHP Truckee in an online post.

According to the post, the incident happened on Tuesday morning, November 25.  No one else was hurt, making the outcome very fortunate.

The post emphasized that drowsy driving can be as dangerous as driving under the influence, and drivers should pull over and rest if they feel fatigued.

It also reminded travelers heading into the holiday week to slow down, plan routes, allow enough travel time, and avoid driving while tired.

CHP added, "Your family would much rather have you arrive late than not at all."
