Truckee Snow Removal

A winter parking ban is now in effect for people in Truckee. From November 1 to April 30, the ban will be in effect 24 hours a day, prohibiting parking on town roads and public rights-of-way.

Truckee Police say, in an online post, vehicles that are parked in violation of the ban may be ticketed or towed.

Police say the ban helps ensure crews can properly perform snow and ice removal when the time comes. Removal of ice and snow keeps roadways open for the community.

Police want to remind the public that during the winter season, keeping roads clear can help people drive safely.
