The Washoe County coroner has identified the woman killed in a double-stabbing last week in Sparks. 

The medical examiner says 60-year-old Juli A. Cooper died at Renown Regional Medical Examiner after being stabbed at a home on Chatterly Lane on October 3. 

A second victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. 

Sparks Police say a minor faces a murder charge in connection with the death, and assault with a deadly weapon for the second alleged stabbing. 

The investigation remains ongoing - and there is no threat to the public. 

OCTOBER 9 UPDATE:

A victim in a double stabbing in Sparks last week has died from her injuries.

The victim was taken to Renown and treated for her injuries but ultimately died at the hospital according to a release from the Sparks Police Department.

Another victim was also taken to renown and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Neither victim's name is being released at this time.

The identity of the suspect in the stabbings is also being withheld. That suspect is in custody and has been identified as a juvenile.

They have been charged with murder with the use of a deadly weapon, domestic battery with the use of a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm, and assault with the use of a deadly weapon.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police are investigating a double stabbing that occurred in Sparks Thursday afternoon. 

Police say when officers arrived on scene at a home on Chatterley Lane, they found two women with stab wounds, around 1:30 p.m. 

Both women were transported to a nearby hospital in unknown conditions. 

Sparks Police say everyone involved in the incident are accounted for and one person has been taken into custody.

They say it's an isolated incident and that there's no threat to the public.
