Lily Tang Williams has won the Republican primary in New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District for a second time. Tang Williams previously led the Libertarian Party in Colorado and unsuccessfully ran for office there before moving to New Hampshire in 2019. She finished third in the 2nd District’s GOP primary in 2022 and was the nominee two years ago, losing to Democrat Maggie Goodlander. In all her campaigns, Tang Williams has emphasized her impoverished childhood in China, her immigration to the U.S. as a student and becoming a citizen 30 years ago. She defeated three other candidates to win the nomination.
