U.S. stocks are drifting in mixed trading as the market splits further between perceived winners and losers from the AI rush. The S&P 500 rose 0.2% Thursday and was sitting a bit below its all-time high set late last month. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 267 points, and the Nasdaq composite slipped 0.2%. Equinix jumped after talking up demand for AI, while Nvidia helped push the market higher. AppLovin and Cisco Systems fell following their profit reports. Treasury yields ticked lower in the bond market ahead of Friday's coming report on inflation at the U.S. consumer level.
