Amazon and resurgent stocks of computer chipmakers are leading Wall Street higher. The S&P 500 rose 0.7% Friday and is heading toward the finish of its first winning week in the last three. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 179  points, and the Nasdaq composite jumped 1.3%. Amazon leaped after reporting much stronger profit for the latest quarter than analysts expected, and its big investments in AI may be paying off in terms of accelerating growth for its cloud computing business. The stock market’s gains came even though oil prices continued to rise and worries about inflation weigh on the bond market.
