A building has collapsed in New Delhi, killing at least one person and trapping dozens of others. The five-story structure housed a boys’ hostel in Satya Niketan, a densely populated area near a Delhi University campus. Fire officer Abhilash Malik said about 30 to 40 people remain trapped in the rubble. Lawmaker Anil Sharma said some people have been rescued, while others trapped inside were making phone calls for help. At least two people are hospitalized in critical condition. Police, firefighters and disaster response crews are searching the rubble. The cause of the collapse is not yet known.
