Americans are deeply frustrated with President Donald Trump’s handling of the economy and rising prices. A new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research finds that only 17% of U.S. adults approve of how he's handled the cost of living, and just 26% approve of his management of the overall economy. The new low comes as Trump and Vice President JD Vance campaign Thursday in reliably Republican areas to shore up lagging enthusiasm as voting begins in the midterm elections. Trump is campaigning in Texas and Oklahoma while Vance stumps in Florida, areas where GOP candidates were once expected to glide to victory.
