A new poll shows that younger Americans are experiencing what is being called "peak stress" earlier than previous generations.

The survey of 2,000 adults found that most people burn out at around 42 years old, CBS News reports.

For Gen Z and Millennial adults, who fall into an age range from 18 to 44 years old, their stress peaks at a much younger age, 25.

When asked what is causing the heightened stress, most people attributed it to finances, followed by politics, work, and their health.
