WRITE A BRIEF (TWO TO THREE SENTENCES) SUMMARY OF YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD ENABLE YOU TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THIS OFFICE:
I’ve spent over a decade working for our local government, where I focused on community engagement, constituent services and supporting arts and special events. My recent work in communications and my role as Vice Chair of the Sparks Parks and Recreation Commission have also equipped me with the skills to understand and draft public policy, serve on the Sparks City Council, and advocate for our community effectively.
WHAT IS YOUR TOP PRIORITY IF ELECTED?
My top priority is public safety. I’m committed to supporting our police and fire departments by increasing their personnel and improving response times. Sparks deserves a representative who will ensure our neighborhoods, parks, and open spaces are safe for everyone. I am proud to be the only candidate in this race endorsed by Northern Nevada law enforcement and firefighters’ organizations.
IN JUST A FEW SENTENCES: WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FACING SPARKS, AND HOW WOULD YOU FIX IT?
Sparks is growing rapidly, and this has put immense pressure on our infrastructure and public services. My solution is to focus on smart growth strategies, including improving traffic management and ensuring our government is transparent and responsive to the community's needs.
WHAT’S YOUR PLAN TO HELP EASE THE HOUSING CRUNCH IN SPARKS?
I’m dedicated to expanding affordable housing options for both homebuyers and renters. By collaborating with landlords, developers, tenants and homeowners, I want to ensure that housing options are safe, comfortable, and affordable. Long-term strategic planning will help us integrate housing developments with essential services and make sure our residents are well-supported.
IN ONE SENTENCE: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING VOTERS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU?
Sparks deserves an accessible representative ready to respond when issues arise in their neighborhoods—I’ve lived in Sparks Ward 3 for most of my life and will serve my neighbors full-time in this role.
YES OR NO: WILL YOU ACCEPT THE RESULTS OF THIS ELECTION, WHETHER YOU WIN OR LOSE?
Absolutely.
