According to NV Energy, power has been restored to all but about 12 people in the area.
Power is estimated to be back on for everyone by 2 p.m.
It says the cause of the outage was a pole-mounted equipment failure.Â

Original Story, 1:00 p.m.:
Over 3,000 NV Energy customers are without power in Reno.
According to NV Energy, the power outage is taking place west of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, by Moana and Kietzke Lanes.
The outage was first reported around 12:20 p.m.
The cause is still under investigation and there is currently no estimated time of restoration.
