Both the City of Reno and the City of Sparks have crews out clearing snow from our roads.

Sparks' crews started at 2:30 a.m. and will continue until 10:30 p.m. Reno's crews also started early this morning and won't be stopping, with 24/7 work for as long as necessary.

The city governments are asking the community to be patient as they work, saying they will get everything cleared as soon as they can.

They have to focus on priority one roads, like main travel roads, roads with schools on them, and roads often traveled by emergency response crews.

Reno and Sparks prepared their equipment and techniques ahead of this storm.

Sparks unveiled a brand new snowplow for the storm, and Reno added a few pieces of equipment to help with clearing neighborhoods and cul-de-sacs.

Anyone out driving is asked to give crews plenty of space to work, keeping drivers and crews safer.
