A woman is dead after a rollover crash on U.S. 6 between Tonopah and Ely last week.
Nevada State Police says troopers responded to the crash around 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday at mile marker 72 in Nye County.
NSP say the preliminary investigation shows a 2013 Jeep Wrangler heading west on U.S. 6 in the westbound lane, when it went off the right side of the road and hit a metal highway sign. Then, they say the driver, 69-year-old Jane Straight, steered left causing it go over both lanes and overturned south of the highway.
The South Carolina woman was flown to a nearby hospital where she died of her injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
